Blythe Creighton | Spirit of Health and Wellness | Eternally 19 | Closed
Blythe is a gentle soul, and has been since birth in 1807. As well as being kind and compassionate, she had also been very sickly from the day she was born. Born weeks early, her lungs had been failing from day one, having not fully formed before she was born. Her early birth resulted in congenital heart disease as well, and the doctors proclaimed it a miracle she survived the birth.
All her life the girl was kept insider her family’s large home, watching the other children play and laugh and run around through her closed windows. The outdoors presented their own problems for Blythe, as any pollen of any sort that entered her lungs resulted in coughing fits that wracked her body. Her parents didn’t try to act like she was healthy or fine, and let her know that she would likely die before adulthood. This looming fact didn’t diminish her bright personality or her sweet disposition.
Blythe managed to hold on until her nineteenth birthday, when she caught pneumonia. The disease was too much for her weak lungs and body to handle, and she passed three days after her birthday. The thing was, she woke back up. She woke back up laid out for her funeral, and raced out to see her family, to tell them she was alright. It went unnoticed that now she could run without gasping for breath, while before waking running about was an awful labor. Upon finding her family in the sitting room, crying, and trying to reassure them, the girl realized they couldn’t see her and she could not touch him.
So she ran. She ran and ran and ran, healed of her ailment, until she curled up beneath the large glowing circle of the full moon and heard it speaking to her. Telling her that he had seen her, how much promise she had always held but never been able to put to use, and rose her to be the spirit of health and wellness in children.
The girl had gone about the world, visiting sick and dying children and bringing them peace and healing. When she heard of the school the Guardians were starting, she knew she had to go and enroll. She’s almost like another Mentor, with her wise disposition and the fact she is always willing to listen to another’s problems and help to her best ability.
